Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in the price?

This is an all-inclusive private coastal tour — airport transfers, a private air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking chauffeur guide, accommodation with daily breakfast, entrance tickets to all listed attractions, all mentioned activity costs, the shared-boat whale watching, daily water, and government taxes. Watersports, snorkelling, surf lessons, and the baby turtle release are optional extras.

Is whale watching guaranteed, and is the boat private?

The whale-watching excursion is included as a shared-boat experience (a private boat can be arranged as an upgrade). Sightings of blue whales and dolphins are common in season — roughly November to April — but as with all wildlife, they can’t be guaranteed.

When is the best time for this tour?

The southern coast is at its best from roughly November to April, with calm seas ideal for beach days and whale watching. Outside this window the ocean can be rougher and whale trips may not run.

Who is this tour best suited for?

It’s ideal for couples, honeymooners, and beach lovers wanting a relaxed, slower-paced tropical getaway with a mix of marine wildlife, light adventure, and downtime by the sea.

Can the beach tour be combined with culture or wildlife?

Yes — it pairs beautifully with a Cultural Triangle, hill-country, or safari extension. Use the “Plan My Trip” form and we’ll tailor a combined itinerary and quote.

Are surfing and snorkelling included?

These are optional add-ons. Weligama is excellent for beginner surf lessons and Hikkaduwa for snorkelling — your guide can arrange either locally; rental and lesson charges apply.
