Combine Sri Lanka’s most important Ramayana-associated sites with ancient heritage, tea country, wildlife and the southern coast on this twelve-day private journey.
The itinerary includes Munneswaram, Manavari, Ramboda Hanuman Temple, Seetha Amman Temple, Divurumpola, Ravana Falls, Kataragama and Rumassala. It also introduces guests to Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Kandy, Yala National Park, Galle Fort, Madu River and sea turtle conservation.
This is an excellent option for Indian families who want a spiritual journey while also enjoying Sri Lanka’s best-known holiday experiences.
Airport welcome, a short transfer and a briefing on the journey ahead.

The first two Ramayana-associated temples, then north to the ancient capital.
Important note: temple activities depend on religious schedules; modest clothing is required; shoes and hats must be removed before entering shrine areas; photography may be restricted inside temples.

Explore selected monuments of the ancient sacred city before travelling to Sigiriya.

Sigiriya at whichever level suits you, plus a village experience and an optional safari.
Important note: Sigiriya and safari are optional additions to the spiritual programme.

An optional cave temple en route, then Kandy and the Temple of the Tooth.
Optional: Dambulla Cave Temple · Scenic transfer to Kandy · Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic · Kandy Lake · Optional: cultural show
Important note: Dambulla Cave Temple requires approximately 350–400 steps and may be omitted for senior pilgrims.

Into the tea hills for the Hanuman temple, the falls and a working tea factory.

A full day at the principal Sita-associated sites around Nuwara Eliya.
Important note: Hakgala Botanical Garden involves extended walking and is optional. Ramayana associations are presented respectfully as part of local tradition and pilgrimage belief.

The highland run to Ella, with the scenic train as an option.
Important note: Train tickets are subject to availability and should not be guaranteed.

The descent to the southeastern plains and an evening at Kataragama.

This one skips Trincomalee and the east, so you miss Koneswaram Temple, the Shankari Devi tradition and Kanniya Hot Springs. In exchange it’s two days shorter and adds an Ella overnight. If Koneswaram matters to you, take the 14-day.
No. It’s optional, and guests who prefer to keep the programme spiritual and restful can take a slower morning and travel on to Galle instead.
This is the itinerary we’d point families to. Alongside the temples there’s Sigiriya, a village cooking experience, Nine Arches Bridge, a Yala safari, the Madu River boat and the turtle conservation centre.
We can try, but tickets are subject to availability and we won’t guarantee them. If they don’t come through, the road route covers the same countryside and keeps your luggage with you.
Not if you don’t want to. Sigiriya and Dambulla are both optional with ground-level alternatives, and Ravana Cave can be replaced with Ravana Falls and a viewpoint.
